Francisco "Frank" Javier Flores, Sr., of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on May 28, 1961, Frank graduated from Eagle Pass High School in 1978. He married Cristella Sanchez on December 30, 1980, in Plainview, and they made their home in Lubbock. Throughout his career, Frank worked for TTUHSC Mail Services, and was a self-employed carpenter, retiring in 2019. Frank had a passion for sports, particularly watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech play football. He possessed a deep appreciation for classic rock music and loved spending quality time with his loved ones and traveling whenever possible.
A devoted husband for almost 45 years to Cristella Flores, Frank was the proud father of four children: Valerie Sanchez, Frankie Flores, Jr. (wife Jerica) Jeremy Flores (wife LaCretia), and Alexandra Flores, all residing in Lubbock. He also enjoyed the joy of being a grandfather to nine grandchildren: Micha Sanchez, Sayan DeLeon, Dylan Flores, Devin Garcia, Kamryn Flores, Matthew Sanchez, Kaytlin Flores, Phenix Flores, and Franki Rose Flores. Frank also leaves behind his siblings: Lupe Flores, George Flores, William Flores, Andy Flores, and Hector Flores, as well as his beloved fur babies, seven dogs and two cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe, Sr. and Dolores (Salas) Flores, and two siblings, Mario Salas and Rosalinda Salas.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, with recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM, with visitation ending at 7 PM. A Mass in his honor will take place at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Reverend Jose De Dios Gonzalez will be the Celebrant. Cremation will follow Mass. Services are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Flores, Frankie Flores, Micha Sanchez, Dylan Flores, Matthew Sanchez and Devin Garcia.
