Frank M. Adams, 85, a longtime Grayslake resident and proud U.S. Army veteran, passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2025.Born and raised in Libertyville, Frank was the son of John and Rose Adams. He attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Libertyville High School before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. After his service, he met the love of his life, Leila. They settled in a new house in Grayslake, where they spent their lives together, raising their daughters. Frank was a devoted family man who worked as a truck driver for Peter Baker & Sons to support his family.
An avid outdoorsman, Frank had a passion for trap shooting and pheasant hunting. He loved playing golf and took great pride in maintaining his yard on his lawn tractor. He was also a dedicated volunteer for St. Mary of the Annunciation's annual Pork and Corn Roast fundraiser.
Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa and Jennifer; his sister, Sandy (Bob) Daley; his brothers, Bill (Karen) and Donald (Laila); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leila (nee Behm), who passed away in 2004, his parents, and his siblings, John Jr., Betty Jane, Mary Ann, and Rose Marie.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, located at 22333 W Erhart Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Fremont Center.
