Frank V. Alleshouse, Sr. 59, of Sherrodsville, passed away peacefully in his home on March 21, 2025, following a period of declining health.
Born in Dover, Frank was the son of the late Robert L. and Evelyn G. (Stephan) Alleshouse and was a beloved presence in both his family and the community. He dedicated many years of his life as a valued employee of The Belden Brick Company in Sugarcreek, retiring from Plant 3.
A proud 1984 graduate of Garaway High School, Frank carried with him a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He was an outdoorsman at heart, finding joy in every moment spent in nature—whether hunting, fishing, camping, or boating on Atwood Lake. The outdoors brought him joy, and he cherished each adventure as an opportunity to connect with nature.
Frank’s most profound joy, however, came from his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his loved ones. The laughter of his children and grandchildren brought him joy, creating memories he held dear. His strong faith shaped his life and was evident in his dedication as a member of Christ Community Church in Dellroy. Frank’s belief in God gave him peace and assurance, knowing he would be reunited with his Lord and Savior.
Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Alleshouse, with whom he shared over 19 years of marriage until his passing. Also surviving are six children: Jennifer (William) Kirkbride, Frank (Tabitha) Alleshouse Jr., James (Jessica) Evans IV, Jason (Christine) Alleshouse, Nicole (Andrew) Yoder, and Matthew Evans and his significant other, Zazu Abraham; his 13 grandchildren, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of two more. He is also survived by his six siblings: Margaret Getchey, Bill (Mary) Alleshouse, Rodney (Ronnie) Alleshouse, Connie (Paul) Dickerhoof, Barb (Ron) Powell, and Johnny Alleshouse.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Alleshouse, and a brother-in-law, Bob Getchey.
In keeping with his wishes, Frank will be cremated by the Geib Funeral Center in Dover. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, beginning at 3 PM at Christ Community Church in Dellroy.
The family requests memorial contributions be directed to either, Ohio’s Lifecare Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663, or, Christ Community Church, 20 East Main Street, Dellroy, Ohio 44620.
