Frank J. Angelini, 78, of Downingtown, PA, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on November 18, 2025.
Born October 23, 1947 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Florence (nee Modica) Angelini.
Frank was a proud graduate of Villanova University, completing his degree in electrical engineering in 1969. During his 40+ year career as an engineer, his work took him across the world. He particularly enjoyed and savored his trips to South America. He was also fortunate to have lived and worked in England and travelled to Egypt on multiple occasions. He was a lifetime member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He shared his technical acumen through professions publications.
During his retirement, he treasured his role as Poppie, spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He passed on to them his passions for astronomy, Triumph sports cars, trips to Cape May, Villanova University athletics, and enjoying life as fully as possible.
Frank was the beloved husband of 56 years of Patricia A. (nee Smith) Angelini; loving father of Frank J. Angelini (Samantha) and Sharon Renshaw; adoring Poppie of Natalie, Trent, Sawyer, and Duncan; dear brother of Johanna Caikoski (Charles), and light-hearted uncle of multiple nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his beloved dog, Chloe, and was predeceased by his basset hound, Basil.
Frank and Patricia were bitten by the wanderlust bug. Their favorite destinations included Alaska, Egypt, Iceland, South and Central America (with an excursion to Patagonia), Iceland, locations throughout the European continent, and, of course, the United Kingdom.
Frank was an avid amateur astronomer and long-time member of the Chester County Astronomical Society. Family and friends never ceased to be amazed by the lengths to which he would go to stargaze on a clear night.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, immediately followed by his Memorial Service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s name may be made to the American Kidney Fund or the National Kidney Foundation.
“Who are we, if not measured by our impact on others? That’s who we are! We’re not who we say we are, we’re not who we want to be - we are the sum of the influence and impact that we have, in our lives, on others.”
