Obituary of Frank A. Baratta

Frank A. Baratta, 86, of Howell passed way on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Frank was born and raised in the North Shore area of Staten Island settling here in 2000. He was a proud United States Army veteran having served during the Cold War. Frank worked in the investment banking industry for over 40 years, having worked for Drexel Burnham Lambert and then Smith Barney retiring in 2001. He had a daily ritual of playing his favorite Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers and scratch-offs, that brought a simple pleasure to his day. Frank spent time growing flowers and cultivating vegetables in his garden. He also enjoyed tinkering around the house and scenic drives.

Frank was predeceased by his wife, Norma J. Baratta in 2014; son, Anthony Baratta in 2005; brother, Joseph Baratta; and brothers-in-law, Bobby Oldham and Lannie Oldham. He is survived by his son Frank Baratta Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Lisi and her husband Joseph, II; grandson Joseph Christopher Lisi; brother, John Baratta and his wife, Kathy; sister-in-law, Rose Baratta; brothers-in-law, Gary Oldham and Ronnie Oldham; sister-in-law, Martha Grimm; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, December 20, 2025. For those who are unable to attend his funeral service in person, you may participate via the funeral home's webcast, HERE. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan.
