On Monday, May 16 , 2022, loving husband and father, Frank Becker passed away after a two and half year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis otherwise known as ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Son of the late Frank and Theresa (Lager) Becker was born in St Louis, MO on June 4, 1954. He met the love of his life, Karen (Duke) in 1977 and a year later the two soulmates were married on Oct 7, 1978. Together they have two wonderful children, Michelle Becker and Joe (Michelle Hamon) Becker. Frank has four amazing grandchildren, Samuel (8) and Jonathan (6) Hueser and Kaylee (10) and Kenzie (8) Becker. Frank was the oldest son of 6 children. He was the brother of Marilyn (the late Melvin) Bolling from Alton, IL, Barb (the late Bruce) Smith from Junction City, OR, Ken (Monica) Becker from Newport, MS, Tom (Kim) Becker from St. Charles, MO, and Mark (Renee) Becker from Chesterfield, MO. Frank was the son-in-law to the late Raymond and Betty (Lamb-Janes) Duke. He was the brother-in-law to the late Ed (Nancy) Duke, Cathy (Ron) Hicks, the late Sharon (the late Rick) Bettis, and Janet (the late Steve) King. He was also a beloved Uncle, Cousin, Neighbor, and Friend to many.

Frank started his education at Our Lady of Fatima and graduated from McCluer High School in 1972. From a young age, Frank was known as a hard worker. His first job was at Mueller Farm when he was 14 years old and continued working there throughout his high school years. After graduation, he got a job with Hussmann Corporate in 1973 and in 1976 he started working at Ford Motor Company where he worked for 30 years. After his retirement from Ford, Frank still had a yearning to stay busy so he got a job as a greenskeeper at the Florissant Golf Club where he enjoyed maintaining the course. Karen always believed that Frank missed his calling; he should have been a finance advisor. Frank was excellent with investing, making wise money choices and always knew the value of a dollar.

Frank was a proud season ticket holder of the St Louis Rams where he enjoyed every moment going to the games with his kids. Frank got the most joy spending time with his grandkids and would take them to the park as much as possible. When they got older, he loved to watch them play their favorite sport. Frank loved the outdoors. He was very handy and could fix anything. Frank loved to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He could fix anything. Frank and Karen loved to travel and would go on vacation at least twice a year. If there was music playing, you could see him dancing like no one was watching. Simply put – Frank LOVED to dance.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Harbors at Lake Chesterfield Clubhouse located at 150 Waterside Dr., Wildwood, MO 63040, Saturday June 4th starting at 3:00pm. Please come join us to celebrate the life of Frank Becker and bring your best "Frank" stories.

I remember Frank as a hard worker and a man who liked to have fun. Karen and the rest of the family were blessed to have him.

Karen, I thought of Frank this morning. I had a doctor's appointment, and they had a little poem on the wall that encouraged you to "Dance like no one is watching." I think that will remind you of Frank. He will live on in your heart.

Karen, you and your family have my deepest sympathy. I first met Frank at a family reunion in Rolla. He had a beautiful smile and was very kind. His love for others was very apparent. May we meet again in heaven.
