Mike loved to cook, especially Hungarian dishes. He mostly learned to cook from his mother in law. He also loved to take pictures and was proud of the pictures he took of Apryl for her modeling and did weddings. He liked to take pictures of family, the ocean, flowers and other scenery. He was a caretaker and liked to help others.
Mike spent 4 years in the Navy as a radar man on the Hamner a destroyer in the Viet Nam war.
Mike and Margaret were married for 54 years, they met at the Navy mother's club dance when his ship was in Portland for the Rose Festival and were married a year later on the day of the Rose Parade.
He liked to travel especially to Canada and Alaska by car to see the scenery, and liked the ferry rides south from Alaska, see the whales, otters, icebergs and other marine life.
He is survived by his wife Margaret and his brother John Leslie in Alabama. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
