Frank Bruno Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. - New Rochelle on Dec. 27, 2025.
Frank Louis Anthony Bruno, age 73, passed away on December 23, 2025. Though our hearts are heavy, we are profoundly grateful for the many years, stories, and memories he gifted us.
Born on July 2, 1952, in New Rochelle, New York, Frank led a life characterized by kindness, humor, and unwavering faith. Known for his quirky, talkative, and boisterous nature, those who knew him well will certainly hear his familiar-and often untimely-catchphrases echoing in their memories.
A devoted father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Frank found immeasurable joy in family gatherings, his faith, music, and baseball-especially when it came to tracking statistics and drawing parallels known only to him. He lived simply and practically, approaching life with a rare, pure, and non-judgmental spirit that put others at ease.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Albert) Pisacreta and Mary (Salvatore) Porretto; his three children, Michael Bruno, Leanne (Jorge) Duque, and Stacey (Christopher) Mix; and his four grandchildren, Leila, Luca, Lennon Duque, and Phoenix Mix, all of whom will miss him deeply and proudly carry forward his legacy as part of the Bruno family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen Bruno, and his parents, Joseph and Ida Bruno.
As Frank often said, "When you have everything, you appreciate nothing. When you have nothing, you appreciate everything."
In remembering Frank, we reflect on the profound truth of his life; he taught us the value of gratitude and the beauty of simplicity. His legacy lives on in our hearts, reminding us to cherish every moment, memory, and connection we hold dear. Though he may no longer be with us, his signature "Frank-isms" will live on, making it feel as if he's still in the room. His positive spirit, childlike energy, and joy were true gifts to us all.
Frank will forever remain in our hearts, now reunited with his parents and the love of his life, Ellen, in heaven.
A celebration of Frank's life will be held on December 30th at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle, New York.
