Frank Victor Calvert Sr., 72, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

He was born in Morgantown, WV on November 25, 1952, a son of the late Joseph Robert Sr. and Wanda Janette (Martin) Calvert.

Frank was a loving companion, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy and purpose in the stillness of the forest, where he spent countless hours searching the hillsides for wild ginseng and going out with his metal detector. Several of his finds are from the Civil War Era and are on display in the Barbour County Historical Museum.

Frank is survived by his loving companion, Genieve Eagle of Kingwood; his three children, Frank Victor Calvert Jr. and companion Heather of Kingwood, Christy Ann Beveridge and husband Caleb of Tunnelton and Jennifer Janette McCray and companion Mike of Kingwood; four grandchildren, Jasmine Lott, McKayla Lott, Tiffany McCray and Kyle McCray; three great grandchildren, Seth Jackson, Mya Jackson and Ryan Landis Jr. and his five siblings, Robert Calvert, Gregory Calvert, Karen Cummings and husband Pete, Carla Pell and Brian Calvert and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Thomas Calvert and one nephew, Justin Pell.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 11 am until the 1 pm time of service with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown.
