Frank Thomas Castro

Frank Thomas Castro was born in San Antonio,Texas on October 5th,1958 to Arnold and Cloma Mae (Riggins) Castro.
The family moved to Austin,Texas in his infant years. His adventures along the creeks in the south countryside of Austin, camping trips with the family and visiting relatives in Mc Allen,Texas were favorite memories of his youth. He loved motorcycles, bowling and riding his jet ski in his free time during his twenties. Frank (Tommy) married Sharon Rampy in 1990. In 1995, their son Taylor Castro was born and his birth gave the couple a beautiful son to share their lives with.
Frank's career in the semiconductor industry spanned over four decades. Frank began his career at Advanced Micro Devices, followed by Motorola, Samsung Austin and spent his final years in Oregon Tech Companies;2 years at Hynix Semiconductor and lastly but most loved was his 17 years at Microchip Technology.
Frank was looking forward to retirement. He had looked forward to many more four wheeling adventures in Oregon and taking the Cruises and Travels often talked about in the last few years. One of Frank's greatest loves was being with his son, riding ATVs on logging roads, on forest trails and on the Oregon sand dunes.
Frank is survived by his wife Sharon Castro, his son, Taylor Castro, brother Steve Castro, and sister Georgia Davidson and her husband Dennis. Frank was like a son to his in-laws Arthur and Patsy Rampy, which proceeded him in death and also Mark Rampy, his brother in law. He treasured time spent with his nephew Matthew Rampy, wife Amy and their children Isabel and Griffin. His niece Holly Baird, husband John and son Jack, also gave Frank love and the promise of continuous family to Sharon and Taylor. Frank treasured his mentorship and acting in a father role to Dominic Nutt. Frank was deeply loved by his family as well as by his beloved dogs, Jax and Billy.
A celebration of life will be held at Gresham Memorial Chapel on Tuesday July 23rd. Viewing from 1pm to 2pm. Service at 2pm with a Reception Celebration to follow.
