Frank James Conti, Jr. passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 20 while on vacation in Canada. He was born in New Castle on February 12, 1963 to Jacqueline Dattilo Conti and the late Frank James Conti Sr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Stephanie Ann, his maternal grandparents, Emma and Frank Dattilo, paternal grandparents, Dina and Giuseppe Conti and aunts and uncles of the Dattilo and Conti families.
Frank is survived by his sons Frank James lll and Rocco Joseph, brothers Nicholas of Las Vegas, Eugene (Alvina) of Charlottesville, VA, Marc (Laura) of New Castle, sisters Aleta of Highland Heights, OH and Amy of New Castle and eleven nieces and nephews.
A graduate of New Castle High School, Frank earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from Duquesne University, having been inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta International Honor Society. He earned his master's degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, with a specialized certificate in International Security Studies and completed his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law. He received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law. Frank served as Justice of the Peace for the Dreamy Draw precinct in Maricopa County (Phoenix, AZ) since his election in November 2008. As one of his first initiatives in his new role, he instituted a victim impact panel at the Dreamy Draw Justice Court.
Frank loved his family and the ritual of visiting every summer, good food, travel, music, his many guitars, golf and a wide array of rescue dogs. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, kind nature and commitment to professional excellence.
A celebration of Frank's life will be held in Phoenix.
