Frank D'Antonio

Frank D'Antonio, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, after a courageous battle. He will forever be remembered for his kind spirit, willingness to help others, and quick-witted sense of humor. He was born on October 20, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Charles "Chap" D'Antonio and Dorothy D'Antonio.

Frank proudly served as a Seaman Recruit in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1962, where he enjoyed traveling the world and writing letters home to "Patty", the love of his life. The two were married for more than 60 years, living on Long Island, in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, in sunny Florida, and finally in North Carolina.

Frank is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann D'Antonio; daughter, Debbie Cuoccio (Frank); son, Michael D'Antonio (Jackie); four grandchildren: Frank Cuoccio (Haley), Mike Cuoccio (Maria), Marissa D'Antonio, and Gianna D'Antonio; and four great-grandchildren: Michael Jr., Charlotte, Milania, and Sophia; sisters: Alana Carbonaro (Charles) and Roseann D'Antonio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Clara Gagliardo; father-in-law, Anthony Gagliardo; brother-in-law, Robert "Gig" Gagliardo; and sister-in-law, Barbara Gagliardo.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. A committal service will follow, at 12:00 p.m., at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Rd, Goldsboro, where Frank will be buried with military honors.

The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the funeral service, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
