James “Frank” Franklin Davis, Sr., loving husband of Vera Crowe Davis, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Easley, SC, to his late parents, George and Bady Sherman Davis. Frank was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of Easley First Baptist Church. Frank retired from AT&T and then worked at Furman Golf Course. He enjoyed golf and was an avid tennis player. His tennis group, affectionately called “R.O.M.E.O” (Retired Old Men Eating Out), would meet to fellowship at Chick-fil-A on Mondays.
He adored his family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by a son, James “Jim” F Davis Jr. Davis (Tina); daughter, Pamela L. Hardison (Rick); sister, Carolyn Danielson (Chris), and grandchildren, Michael Wagner, Anna Hardison, and Katie Hardison.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly L. Wagner, and a sister, Myra S. Crumley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Homes – Powdersville Road. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 3:00 PM. Burial will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Graceland East Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Easley First Baptist Church at 300 E 1st Ave, Easley, SC 29640.
The family would like to personally thank VIA Hospice for their care and kindness in caring for Frank.
Let all who knew and loved Frank hold onto precious memories that will continue to grow the legacy of a great, kind, and loving gentleman.
