Franklin "Frank" F. Fisher, 85, of Malone, passed away suddenly at his home on December 9, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1940, he was the son of Willard and Mildred (LaBrake) Fisher. His father predeceased him in 1948. His mother later married Thomas Marlow and he was predeceased by them.

Frank married Dawn Duemars on October 3, 1959.

Frank began his career with the Malone Village Fire Department in 1964. He retired after 20 years of service in June 1984 with rank of Captain. He began volunteering with the Malone Call Fireman in 1963, having 62 years of service at the time of his death. He held every line of office in that organization, including chief.

He was cited by the New York State Assembly with a Proclamation for his 60 years of service to the Malone Callfireman in 2024. Frank became Malone Village Code Enforcement officer in 1984 and retired from that position after several years of service.

He was a life member of the Malone Knights of Columbus and served on the Bingo Team. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and served on the Board of Malone Village Housing and the Malone Village Planning Board. Frank was a communicant of St. Andre Bessette Parish.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dawn Fisher of Malone; three children, Laurie Fisher of Albany, NY, June (Christine) Fisher of Malone and Gerald (Kristie) Fisher of Malone; three grandchildren, Thomas Kunkel of Malone, James (Emelia) Kunkel of Guilderland, NY, and Haley Fisher of Malone; two step grandchildren, Samantha (Beau) Sprague of Clovis, NM and Elizabeth Weeks of Malone; a nephew, Terry (Mary) Fisher; nieces, Tina (Dan) Armstrong, Marci (John) Marshall, Melissa (Brian) Brewer and Nicole Fish; as well as many great nieces and nephews; and a special great-nephew, Wyatt Berkman, with whom he shared a birthday and cherished memories.

Besides his parents and step-father, he was predeceased by his only brother, Ronald R. Fisher.

Calling hours will be held at St. Mary-Murphy-Wilcox Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 at Notre Dame Church at 11 a.m.

Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lake Titus Road, Malone.

Memorial donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Malone Callfireman or the Malone EMS.
