Mrs. Berenice R. Carr

Berenice R. Carr, 89, formerly of Chateaugay Lake, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Plattsburgh.
Born on December 15, 1935, in Huntingdon, Quebec, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary Louise (Faubert) Monique.
In 1953, she graduated from Notre Dame High School. She was employed for the next five years with the Bell Telephone Company in Montreal, Que.
On May 30, 1959, she was united in marriage to Donald W. Carr at St. Joseph's Church in Huntingdon, Que. He predeceased her on June 23, 2023.
She was an employee of the Purdy Oil Company as a bookkeeper until 1983.
She is survived by three nieces, Beverley Crawford, Dale Dell'Elce and her husband, Mario, Joanne Crawford; as well as great nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Loretta Crawford and Madeleine Ravelli; a brother, Francis Monique; and two nephews, Lorne Crawford and Kevan Crawford.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church serving on the Pastoral Council and was a lector, eucharistic minister and a commissioned lay minister. She was a member of the Bellmont Hi-Riders.
Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Friday, November 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Notre Dame Church, Malone on November 14 at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chateaugay.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Burke Adult Center.
