Funeral service for Frank Flores, Jr. age 77, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Restoration Church, 1920 North 15th Street, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Rev. Johnny Flores officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Flores passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at his home in Frederick.
A visitation will be Monday evening, August 26, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone Avenue, Frederick, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Frank Flores, Jr. was born May 4, 1947, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Frank Flores and Josephine (Gonzales) Flores, Sr. He attended Weaver Public School, southwest of Frederick. Frank Flores, Jr. and Antonia Gonzales were united in marriage. She preceded him in death. On October 27, 1997, he and Glenda A. (Sanders) Villanueva were later married in Vernon, Texas. Frank was a skilled welder and could build anything. He built fences for many area farmers and was a creative artist in his trade. He was quite a jokester! He enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh. He was always the center of attention.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Glenda Flores of the home; three daughters, Janie Stewart, Sandy Flores, and Christy Flores all of Wichita Falls, Texas; one step-daughter, Jackie Johnson and her husband Eddie of Frederick, Oklahoma; one step-son, Steven Villanueva and his wife Stephanie of Vernon, Texas; one grandson/son, Kurt Flores and his wife Liz of Wichita Falls, Texas; six brothers, Danny Flores and his wife Mary of Frederick, Oklahoma, Tony Flores and his wife Faylene of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jesse Flores and his wife WeDonna of Frederick, Oklahoma, Louis Flores and his wife Barbara of Frederick, Oklahoma, Cecil Flores and his wife Pauline of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Ezecuiel Flores and his wife Connie of Frederick, Oklahoma; four sisters, Delfina Ramos and her husband Armando of Frederick, Oklahoma, Molly Chandler of Frederick, Oklahoma, Lisa Noyola and her husband Tony of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Nina Ybanez and her husband Rob of Edmond, Oklahoma; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Flores, Sr.; his first wife, Antonia Flores; one son, Larry Flores; three daughters, Irma Givens, Angie Flores, and Anita Flores; one sister, Mary Gutierrez; and his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy Chandler, Jessie Gutierrez, and Judy Flores.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Frank Flores, Jr.
