Frank G. "Tilly" Gentile Jr.

Frank G "Tilly" Gentile, Jr, age 77, of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania, died July 3, 2024, surrounded by friends and family.
Tilly was born September 24, 1946 in Bloomfield, to the late Frank and Rita. A graduate of Central Catholic and Edinboro State University, he taught for 30 years in Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanne (Paoletta), father to Jay V (Jenielle) and Mia Ruffing (Bobby). The best "Tud" to grandchildren Jackson, Lachlan, Bria and Kenzie. Proud brother to Vince Gentile and preceded in death by his sister Vinessa Turpin. Tilly is also survived by a large, loving extended family and countless friends.
An avid storyteller with an infectious laugh, Tilly loved nothing more than golf with his friends, good food, sports, television, movies and his family. Loved by all, he maintained decades-long friendships. Special thanks to Presby CTICU Critical Care Team and Dr. Holt Murray.
Friends received Sunday 2-7 p.m. at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford). Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church, Divine Grace Parish, Cranberry Township. Please wear golf attire in memory of Tilly.
