Frank Giglio ObituaryFrank Giglio, age 86, of Florence, Kentucky, with family at his side, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Originally from Rochester, New York, Frank lived there for most of his life before relocating to Kentucky 14 years ago. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and spent his career as an industrial maintenance electrician. Frank retired from The Eastman Kodak Company after many dedicated years of service.
A funeral service to honor Frank's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Hopeful Lutheran Church, 6430 Hopeful Rd., Florence, Kentucky, with Pastor Blair Fields officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Richwood Cemetery.
Frank is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kathy (Rob) Nielsen and Cheryl (Chris) Engel; grandchildren, Tom (Cierra) Nielsen, Kim (Ralph) Slucher, and Rachel (Jon) Love; and great-grandchildren, Olivia, Camille, and Lilybelle Nielsen. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Giglio; sisters-in-law Josie Migliore and Barb Giglio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenic and Nancy Giglio; his beloved wife, Janice Giglio; parents-in-law, Clarence and Ruth Kock; brothers Fred, Nick, and Ralph Migliore, and Michael and Joe Giglio; brother-in-law Wallace Schilling; and sisters-in-law Donna Schilling, Marie Migliore, Lena Giglio, and Patricia Giglio.
Frank was a man of many passions. Above all, he cherished his family, often saying, "family always comes first." He had a deep love of learning, particularly in history, science, and politics, and a lifelong appreciation for nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and found joy in travel, snowmobiling, horseshoes, chess, and card games throughout his life.
Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
