GYORKOS, Frank James- age 81, of Fenton, passed away May 14, 2025. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Tyrone Community Presbyterian Church 9141 Hartland Rd., Fenton. Elder Dave Hawley officiating. Visitation 1:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and 10:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday at church. Memorial contributions in Frank's memory would be appreciated to Adopt-A-Pet Fenton.
Frank was born August 1, 1943, in Flint, the son of Frank C. and Gertrude F. (Culver) Gyorkos. He married Vicki Voelker April 27, 1973, in Flint. She preceded Frank in death on February 8. 2019. He later married Delores Smith in Clio on April 15, 2023. Frank graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1961 where he won the contest to design the school logo, the Flint Southwestern Colt. After school he began his career with GM as a Tool Setter. Frank was a member of U.A.W.Local #599, the Durand F.O.E., and The Flint Archery Club. He also was an active member of Tyrone Community Presbyterian Church. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the birds and especially his dogs!
Frank is survived by his wife, Delores; children, Frank (Laurie) Gyorkos II of Holt, Kari (Jason) Roat of Durand, and Shelli (Talli) Gyorkos of Minot, ND; stepchildren, Jennifer(Chris) Riendeau, Cyndi (Don) Head, and Ben (Katie) Murray; grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah, Peyton, Noah, Preston, and Alayna; sisters, Jeannie Johnson, and Susie Asaro; also nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Vicki; and his daughter, Karyn Gyorkos. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
