The evening of November 13, 2024, Gerald went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He is missed so very much but has now reunited with his daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Gerald was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He so loved his great-grandchildren. It was a joy to his heart to see them play and get hugs from them. He loved his family very much and they knew it by his actions more than his words. He worked hard and expected them to do the same.
Gerald loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing were a big part of that. He was always outside doing something with his faithful dog Kaydance "K.K."
As much as Gerald loved his family he loved the Lord His God above all else. He was a faithful witness for the Lord not only in words but in actions as well, right up until the Lord called him home.
Gerald worked for General Motors for 19 years in Flint, Michigan and then moved to Arizona where he worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections for 12 1/2 years. After which he retired due to his health. He has many extended family and friends who loved him and will miss him as well. He felt he was a blessed man.
Gerald leaves behind his wife, Vicki; sons, Shad (Robin), and Todd of Buckeye, Arizona; grandchildren, Kyleigh Gyorkos, Haley (Ryan) Carpenter, Stephanie Weed; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Chase, Sidney, Jaxon, Abigail, Adelynn and Alani. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Hollenshead, granddaughter, Jaedi Weed and great-granddaughter, Lillian Carpenter; 2 sisters, Nancy Joslin and Ginger Fahler of Michigan; parents, Jerry Gyorkos and Virginia Yuhaz Gyorkos of Michigan.
