In Loving Memory of Glenn D. Collins
August 30, 1979 - October 3, 2025

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Glenn D. Collins, 46, of Show Low, Arizona. Glenn was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on October 3, 2025, in Show Low, on his way to serve his community - a duty he held with great pride and devotion.

Born on August 30, 1979, in Show Low to Paul Glenn and Linda Louise (VanHoof) Collins, Glenn was a true son of the mountains. His love for his hometown and its people ran deep, and he lived each day with purpose, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

A Firefighter and EMT with Timber Mesa Fire and Medical, Glenn was a protector at heart. He lived by the words, "I will never leave anyone behind," and he honored that promise time and time again, both in his career and in his life. He was also a former volunteer firefighter with White Mountain Lake Fire Department, and his passion for service was boundless. He never stopped seeking knowledge and improvement, always striving to help his fire family and community grow stronger.

Glenn was more than a firefighter - he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a kind soul with a giving heart, known for dropping everything to help someone in need. His family was his greatest joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time outdoors with them - whether it was squirrel hunting, camping, target shooting, riding motorcycles, or simply sitting in nature, talking with God.

His passions were as vast as his heart. Glenn enjoyed woodworking, gold mining, BBQing and smoking meats, and indulging in sweets. He had a deep love for geology, rocks and minerals, trains - especially "Big Boy" trains - World War II history, Shark Week, sailboats, and even Legos. He was also a professional truck driver, delivering mail in Iraq and driving across the U.S.

He is survived by his loving wife, Loru Kishbaugh-Collins; his children, Natalie McKibbin (Cooper), Lori Kishbaugh, Tucker Collins, and Amber Collins; his parents, Paul and Linda Collins; and his siblings, Phillip Collins, Donald Collins, Rose Hatfield, and Julie Coffman. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Taylor.

Glenn's favorite verse was the Serenity Prayer, a fitting testament to the grace, courage, and wisdom he carried throughout his life.

A public visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N 9th Street, Show Low.

A memorial service will be held 12:00 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2025 at the Show Low High School Auditorium, 500 W. Old Linden Road, Show Low.

Glenn D. Collins leaves behind a legacy of love, service, strength, and honor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him - his family, his fire brothers and sisters, and the entire Show Low community. May we continue to carry his light forward in our hearts.
