Frank J. Iadone Sr. 86 of East Haven passed away December 19, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 6, 1938 in New Haven to Joseph and Louise (Parlato) Iadone. Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Genieve (Santaniello) Iadone, beloved father of Frank Iadone Jr. of East Haven and Karen Gagliardi (John) of East Haven and his very special buddy, his grandson, Michael Gagliardi. Frank is also survived by his brother, Robert Iadone (Amalia) of Florida, nephews and a niece.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, Catello and Rose (Landino) Santaniello and a brother-in-law, Joseph Santaniello.
Frank was a proud graduate of Wilbur Cross High School in 1956 and served in the Connecticut National Guard. He worked many jobs; starting his banking career with CT National Bank and lastly retiring from Capital One. Upon retirement, Frank took on his most favorite role ever, spending time with his grandson and family. Frank had a passion for music, he was a devoted musician and played the trumpet and sang for the Velvetones back in the 1960's and 70's. Frank loved and adored his wife for the last 62 years; he was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all.
All services are private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT..
