Frank Joseph Jakositz, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 23, 2025. He was born on September 18, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, to Joseph Jakositz and Theresa Tryback. Frank's life was a testament to love, commitment, and community, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Frank was a devoted husband for 52 years to his beloved wife, Adele Jakositz, who preceded him in death. Their bond was an inspiration to many, as they shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they traveled the world, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Frank was affectionately known among his friends as the "world traveler", a title that reflected his passion for exploring new places and cultures. His stories of adventure and the beautiful places he visited brought joy to those around him. As a proud father, Frank is survived by his son, Greg Jakositz, who carries forward his father's legacy of kindness and generosity. He is also survived by his loving sister, Elizabeth Budner. Frank's family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Frank served in the United States Army during the Korean War. In his professional life, Frank had a long and fulfilling career in the printing business from which he eventually retired. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by his colleagues and peers, and he left an indelible mark on the industry. Frank was also a very active parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he engaged with his community and made numerous friends. His faith was a cornerstone of his life. He contributed his time and efforts to make a difference in the lives of those around him, and his spirit of giving will be remembered fondly.
