Joseph A. Jakositz, 93 of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Joe was born September 9, 1931 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Catherine Jakositz. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1948-1952. Joe was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Joe was a mechanical engineer and worked for Amoco/BP for over 20 years.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Joe is survived by his wife of 68 years, Irma; sons, Thomas J. (wife, Theresa) Jakositz, Joseph A. (wife, Anne Marie) Jakositz, Jr and Peter A. (wife, Laura) Jakositz; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Sarah Jakositz, Hunter Jakositz and Madison Jakositz; great grandchildren, Hayden and Jax Thompson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Seredvick.
