Frank H. Johns

Frank H. Johns, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his rural Hemingford home.
He was born on September 28, 1960 in Lincoln, NE to Frank and Norma (Karle) Johns.
On October 4, 1996 he was united in marriage to Jean M. Hruza.
The couple was able to pursue a longtime dream of owning their own ranch when they purchased land west of Hemingford and moved here in January, 2000. Frank was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alliance.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; his children, Adam Johns of Hugo, OK and Kelli Britten of Lincoln, NE and his sister & brother-in-law, David and Deb Johns Skomer of Lincoln. He is also survived by his wife's brothers and sisters, Dan and Tammy Hruza of Burwell, Wayne and Christy Hruza of Ord, and Nancy and Keith Andersen of Adams, NE; nephews and nieces Patrick (Molly) and Michael (Kaylee) Skomer, Anthony Hruza, Sarah (Mike) Esterling, Trisha, Tracy (Jason), and Travis (Darian) Dahlke, Kristen (Brian) Seltzer, and Keri Andersen, and 12 great-nephews/nieces. His parents and his sister, Cindy Johns preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Richard Mueller and Pastor Shaun Daugherty will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Fighters Association.
