Frank H. Monroe, 95, passed away peacefully Monday July 4, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Cornishville, KY. to the late Willie and Martha Jane Monroe, and he was a Veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of Graceland Baptist Church.
Frank founded Frank H. Monroe Heating and Cooling, and launched his business inside his home on Beeler Street in 1953. The business remains a staple in New Albany and remains true to its roots as a family-owned establishment with a focus on Southern Indiana. Frank, with his signature suspenders and quick wit, remained an integral part of the business for many years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Ruth E. Monroe, his son: Daniel Albertson(Janet), his grandson: Jared Samples, his sister: Lula Mae Faith, and his son-in-law: Arthur LaDuke.
Frank is survived by his wife: Betty Monroe, his daughter: Shirley A. LaDuke, his grandchildren: Steven LaDuke(Chris) and Dana Albertson, and his great-grandchildren: Eastman LaDuke and Isaac Javorka, and Betty's family: Amy Guidry(David), Julie Hendrix, Chris and Greg Young, and their children: Alana, Abbey and Addison Guidry, Andrew Logsdon, Jacob Samples, Chelsea, Topher, Emily and Carla Young, Jessica Hooper and Lori Landgrebe.
A Celebration of Frank's life will be held at 11 AM Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Oak Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1846 E. Oak St.) with burial in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 – 8 PM Friday and after 10 AM Saturday before the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I did not know Mr. Monroe, but lived near some of his family a few years ago. What I know about the Monroe family is they are wonderful, kind, very bright people who are great friends. And for your loss I am very sorry.
