Frank Mossucco, 94 of Cedar Grove, N.J. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14 with his
family by his side.
Born and raised in Newark to Lorenzo and Mafalda (Palumbo) Mossucco, Frank lived in the Silver Lake section of Belleville and in 1970 would settle in Cedar Grove. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Frank began his career as a Lather for Corsi Construction in Clifton, N.J., where his craftsmanship and skill were highly regarded. In his 50s, he changed career paths and went to work for Schering-Plough Pharmaceutical, until his well-earned retirement after 10 plus years. Upon retiring, Frank devoted much of his time to caring for his beloved wife, Ann, who courageously battles with MS to this day. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Cedar Grove.
Predeceased by his parents and siblings, he is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years this coming October, Ann (Stasio) Mossucco; children, Gina Maffucci and her husband Michael and Frank Mossucco; grandchildren, Elaina Maffucci, Michael Angelo Maffucci and his wife, Jenna, Lauren Nicole Aschendorf and her husband, Aaron; great-grandchildren, Vienna and Michael Frank Maffucci; sisters-in-law, Adele and Rae Mossucco; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral
Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Cedar Grove with interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at ShooksCedarGrove.com.
