Frank Clemens Riha passed away on July 31, 2023 in Georgetown, TX from COPD complications. He is preceded in death by his parents, Amos F. Riha and Frances E Von Boeselager Riha, as well as his beloved bride and best friend of 40 years, Sue Walters Riha. Frank was born February 6, 1941 in New Orleans,LA. The eldest of the five Riha children, he is survived by his sisters: Carol Provost of Deer Park, TX; Robin Linden of Plano, TX; Christine Neuber of Deatsville, AL; and Anita Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO.
For those who know Frank, it's no surprise that his early years were full of mischief. Those blue eyes always seemed to be up to something. From snatching his grandmother's kolaches, to pinching his sisters with his toes, his zest for life was contagious. Frank was very creative, and he loved to tinker with all things electric, which served him well throughout his life. Son of a military father, Frank moved frequently, and he made friends wherever he went. He had a gift for telling stories and making people laugh.
Frank graduated from high school in Newport News, VA, and he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Business degree. Frank held several jobs in the technical industry and went on to become the Senior Healthcare Regional Manager for Rauland-Borg. He retired after 20 years to spend more time with Sue.
Frank had many passions. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed racing sailboats at the Austin Yacht Club, where he served on the board of directors. Frank and his wife moved to Cedar Park, where they could be seen firing their cannon and sporting around in their golf cart as they fed the deer and various wildlife. He enjoyed shooting water moccasins out of the creek, which was much appreciated by his neighbors. But possibly Frank's favorite passion was building a sleek, black, Factory 5 Shelby Cobra. He was a true craftsman and took delight in taking the Cobra to auto shows.
What Frank will best be remembered for is his love of people. We will never know the number of people that he encouraged, shared wisdom with, walked alongside, or quietly helped financially. May we learn from Frank, carry a piece of him in our hearts, and continue his mission of spreading kindness.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Texas Humane Heroes at
10930 E Crystal Falls Parkway, Leander, TX 78641.

I, for one, benefited for many years from his encouragement and shared wisdom. Can also attest to his fabulous story-telling skills.
You will be sorely missed, Mr. Original.

The other Frank.
