Francis Eugene Sottile, a devout Catholic, devoted husband of 64 years to Ann Bernadette Sottile, cherished father and grandfather, and beloved uncle and cousin, was reunited with the Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 24, 2025, while his family was by his side. Frank, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on February 17, 1938, in Kingston, NY. Frank was an incredibly loving and patriotic third generation Italian American who lived in Kingston, NY and later moved to
Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Frank adored his family and was a light in the lives of those around him. Frank was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, traveling, horseback riding, watching John Wayne movies, and listening to music by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
Frank was the son of the late Eugene and Theresa Sottile, formerly of Kingston, NY. Frank is survived by his wife, Ann Bernadette Sottile, of Ft. Lauderdale; son, Gene Sottile and his wife, Vivian, of Coconut Creek; daughter, Eileen Sottile, of Ft. Lauderdale; daughter, Ann Wallach and her husband, David, of Raleigh; son, Frank Sottile and his wife, Jeannine, of Saugerties; son, Craig Sottile and his wife, Erin, of Ft. Lauderdale; granddaughter, Jennifer Cleveland and her husband, David; granddaughter, Danielle Menke and her husband, Robert; granddaughter, Kyrstin Wallach; granddaughter, Reagan Sottile; grandson, David Wallach; granddaughter, Madison DeCicco and her husband, Gianni; granddaughter, Ella Sottile; great granddaughter, Chloe Cleveland; great grandson, Elijah Cleveland; great grandson, Levi DeCicco; great grandson, Lochlan Menke; sister-in-law, Kathleen Scala; and sister-in-law, Patricia Sweeney and her husband, James. Frank has several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Frank was employed by IBM for 36 years in Kingston, NY. Frank also honorably served his community as a Town of Ulster Councilman for 20 years and the Town of Ulster Supervisor for 4 years. In recognition of his accomplishments as a public servant, the Town of Ulster dedicated a road to Frank on December 26, 1994, named Frank E. Sottile Boulevard and located in Kingston, NY. Frank was a parishioner of St. Coleman Catholic Church in Pompano Beach and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Frank will forever be cherished and remembered as a devoted and loving husband, incredible father, and adoring grandfather.
Friends will be received at the Baird-Case Jordan Fannin Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expressions of condolence may be shared with Frank's family at www.baird-casefh.com. A Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, located at 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Frank's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
