Rev. Ruben Franklin "Frank" Weaver, Sr. - age 90 of Lenoir City, passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 25, 2025. Frank was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served as pastor for several churches in the community over 56 years. Frank had also owned and operated the IGA Grocery and Westside Wheels in Lenoir City.
Frank was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Hazel Weaver; daughter-in-law, Deborah Weaver; parents, Matt and Grace Weaver; sisters, Agnes Williamson and Joy Tindell.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Donna Pickel Weaver; sons: Garry S. Weaver (Jan), Ruben Weaver; stepchildren, Billy Pickel (Carol), and Carrie Chadwick (Andrew); grandchildren: Steve Weaver (Gretta), Jeremy Weaver, Elizabeth Keller, Sarah Long (Chris); step grandchildren: Jordan Luke, Olivia, Lincoln, and Logan Chadwick, Madison and Miles Pickel; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Rose Palmer; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 28th from 5-7 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 300 West First Ave. in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Steve Weaver officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29th in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 2329 East Brushy Valley Drive in Powell for graveside services and interment with Rev. Garry Weaver. Pall bearers will be great grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, P O Box 1067, Lenoir City, TN 37771.
