John Franklin “Frankie” Box, 59, passed away, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Frankie was born on February 12, 1966, in Monroe County to Elbert Franklin and Martha Payne Box. Frankie was widely known in Amory as a general handy man, and he could do just about anything from building flowerbeds to building houses. When it came to detailing cars, he was second to none. He loved his cat, Baby Girl and he was a big fan of MSU football.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Cleveland-Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Chuck Moffett and Bobby Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Sara Kelly (Rob), Plantersville and Teresa Northington, Amory; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Mike and Butch Gray.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hodges, Jeff Chism, Dennis Brasfield, Rob Kelly, Nathan Gray, Andrew Butler, and Jeff Martin.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11:45 at the funeral home on Saturday.
