Frankie Dwayne "Pudge" Simpson, 41, of Parksville, Kentucky and formerly of Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 after injuries sustained from an automobile accident. He was the husband of Jennifer Denise Caldwell Simpson whom he married on July 19, 2008. Born on April 27, 1984 in Danville, Kentucky, he was the son of Lisa G. Simpson and Frankie Wayne Wilburn. Dwayne never met a stranger. He was widely known for being a hugger who gave the best hugs. He loved his family dearly and treasured the time he was able to hang out with each one. He enjoyed playing video games, basketball, throwing frisbees with his sons and going fishing. He enjoyed petting Piper, his French Bulldog.

Wife of 17 years, Jennifer Denise Caldwell Simpson

Two Sons: Myles Brennen Simpson and Layne Titus Simpson

His Dad, Frankie Wayne & Wife, Edna Wilburn

Brother, William Smith, III and Fiance' Brittney Hinkle

Maternal Grandmother, Darlene Hasson

Paternal Grandmother, Faye & Husband, Oliver Poff

Nephews, Weston Smith and Jeremy Caldwell

Uncle: Jeremy Simpson

Aunts, Kathy Bryant, Babbie Simpson, Sheila (Joey) Bunch, Donna (Paul) Clark, Cathy (Eddie) Aper

Father & Mother in law, Gary and Willena Caldwell

Sister in law, Susan Caldwell

Preceded in death by Grandfathers, his two papaws, Clyde Simpson and Bill Wilburn

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel at 147 Main Street, Crab Orchard, Kentucky 40419

Bro. Stephen VanHook will be officiating

A private family burial will be held at Parksville Cemetery

Public Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 2:00 PM Funeral Service Time on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel.

Active Pallbearers Include: Myles Simpson, Will Smith, Jeremy Simpson, Jerry Shelton, Ryan Volk, Wesley Bryant, Lance Getter, & Dustin Getter

Honorary Pallbearers include: Layne Simpson, Jeremy Caldwell, & Weston Smith
