Franklin Sherman Billingsley, 74, of Witmer Lake, Wolcottville, Indiana, died Monday, April 28, 2025, at his residence.
He was born February 28, 1951, in Bluffton, Indiana, to Everitt B. and Ina A. (Burlison) Billingsley.
He married Cherie Batt in 1969.
Mr. Billingsley was a self-employed electrician at Billingsley Electric and had also worked for Pete's Construction in Wolcottville.
He enjoyed music, learning to play the guitar, hunting and boating.
Surviving are his wife, Cherie Billingsley of Witmer Lake; a son, F. Sherman (Tricia) Billingsley, II of LaGrange; a daughter, Cherie N. "Nicci" (Graham) Hudson of New Palestine; five grandchildren, Franklin Billingsley, III, Samuel Billingsley, Griffin Hudson, Jude Hudson, and Ev ie Hudson, and a grandchild on the way; four sisters, Ruth Billingsley of Wolcottville, Mary Garrett of LaGrange, Rhodene (Shelby) Upchurch of Muncie, and Barbara (Paul) Russo of Fallston, Maryland; a brother, Everitt (Deborah) Billingsley of Wolcottville; and a cousin, Phyllis Barnett of Wolcottville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Frank Garrett.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9, North, Wolcottville with Tony Russo officiating.
Visitation will also be on Thursday, beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
Preferred memorials are to ARK Animal Rescue, 0530 E 300 S, LaGrange, IN 46761, or Indiana University Cancer Center, P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207.
