FRANKLIN MONROE BOLIN, “Frankie”, age 70, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father, on October 14, 2023 with his daughters by his side. He took great pride in his work and previously worked for the Department of Energy as a building/welding inspector at Oak Ridge Nuclear Facility and was a long time member of The Plumbers and Pipefitters of UA Local 102 in Knoxville, TN. He was a 48 year Master Mason at Strawberry Plains Masonic Lodge # 462. His many hobbies included fishing, admiring wildlife, and feeding birds and humming birds. He had a special love and compassion for Horses. He had a deep interest for history, especially the Civil War, and enjoyed hunting for Civil War relics. He was a loving, wonderful daddy and granddad, who cherished his entire family. He had the kindest and most selfless heart, he loved people, never met a stranger, and always loved hearing someone laugh, and would always say, "I got that cackle".
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Bolin; parents, Hobart Tillman Bolin, Sr. and Lillie Mae Bell Bolin; sister, Cherel Jean Henderson; and brother, H. T. Bolin. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Jessica Maze (Dustin), Lori Shaver (Dustin), Matricia Harberson (Rob), and Jeremy Bolin; his adored dog, Cocoa; cherished grandchildren, Jenna, Olivia, Owen, Harrison, Hayden, Joseph, Jerrod, Taylor, and Morgan; sister, Becky Anderson (Charlie); several nieces and nephews; and numerous special friends.
The family gives a special and dearest thank you to Professional Case Management for all the years of exceptional loving care, and to Dr. Richard Carter and staff at Summit Medical Group. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Doug Jennings officiating. Family and friends will gather at Farrar Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning to proceed to Blue Springs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masonic Lodge #462, PO Box 37, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871
