Franklin "Doug" Hatheway, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

He was born November 8, 1970 to Elvis Dean and Marilyn Sue (Angle) Hatheway in Albany, Missouri.

Doug shared wonderful life with his wife, Jennifer L. Schottel, whom he married on October 8, 1993.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, often venturing into the great outdoors. He was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, cheering them through every season. You could also always hear the purring of his beloved cat, Frisky, which often sat loyally by his side.

Above all, Doug's most profound joy came from the time he spent with his family. He was a cornerstone of strength, a provider, and a source of unconditional love.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roscoe and Elvis, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; children, Denton Hatheway, Troyal Hatheway (Jordan), and Anna Hatheway; grandchildren, Kingston, Marilyn, Peyton, Poseidon, Rilya, Jacelyn, Wrenley, and Hudson; and brother, Jonathan Hatheway.
