Franklin "Frank" Saltsgaver, 85, of Allendale, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House, in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 10, 1940, in Allendale, Illinois, the son of Earl and Nedra (Osmon) Saltsgaver. He married Mary Jane (Emmons) Weiss on August 21, 1982, and they have enjoyed forty-three years of marriage centered around their family.

Frank was a member of the quail club and enjoyed coon hunting in his earlier years. He took great pride in his yard and his cars. Frank enjoyed going to flea markets to collect milk glass and he was a member of the milk glass association. He loved his family and really enjoyed time spent with his name- sake, great grandson Benjamin Franklin Hufford, who was born on Frank's birthday.

Frank leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Jane; children, Teresa (Kenny) Saxe, Brian (Katrina) Saltsgaver, Cindy (Jim) Thornton, Nancy Gibson, George (Kimberly) Weiss, Todd (Katerine) Weiss; grandchildren, Miranda (Tyler) Woods, Megan (Brock Ward Saltsgaver, Andrew Williams, Alix Brewer, Grant Williams, Emeily Hall, Robert (Jamie) Tomblinson, Chad (Malara) Risley, Shamber (Heath Weinberger) Weiss, Takoma Weiss, Sammy (Steven Seals) Weiss, Samantha Weiss, Nathan Weiss, Kaylee (Steve) Dohm, Chelsea (Zack) Hufford, Sean (Jade Scott) Gunzel; and twenty great grandchildren; brother, Charles (Judy) Saltsgaver; and sister, Earlene Dudley.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Haylie Weiss and Chris Turpin; sister, Betty Bates; brothers, Bob Saltsgaver, John Saltsgaver.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, at Allendale Cemetery with Pastor Randy Snelling and Pastor Wilbert Alvarez officiating.
