Franz Stoeckel, born on February 4, 1930, in Czechoslovakia, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at the age of 94. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Franz is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Christel Stoeckel, whom he married in 1955. Together, they built a beautiful life after Franz immigrated to the United States, where he worked diligently as a skilled tool maker, dedicating his life to his craft and family.
Franz was the cherished father of Eric Stoeckel (Catherine), Thomas Stoeckel (Kimberly), and Cindy Carter (Thomas), and a proud grandfather to Heika Schietler (Brandon), Andrew Stoeckel (Nicole), Shelby Stoeckel, Hailey Stoeckel, Anthony Hamm, Christopher Hamm, Brandon Carter, and Krystle Thomas (Christopher). He was also a loving great-grandfather. His legacy lives on in his family, who will remember his unwavering love, humor, and wisdom.
In his free time, Franz enjoyed hunting, playing cards with friends, and celebrating his heritage at German festivals. His warm presence, joy for life, and commitment to family and tradition will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial luncheon to honor and celebrate Franz's life will be held in the coming days.
Franz's journey was one of love, hard work, and dedication-a legacy that will remain forever in the hearts of his loved ones.
