Born in Euskirchen, Germany, on August 12, 1936, Franziska carried the spirit of her country with her always. Though she called many places home over the years, her German roots were always a source of pride. She was a woman of great resilience who endured many hardships.
She found great joy in her kitchen, where she lovingly prepared meals for her family. Many will have fond memories of her authentic German dinners every Sunday. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and adored her grandchildren.
Franziska was preceded in death by her beloved brothers Paul and Rudolph. She is survived by her loving children: two daughters and a son residing outside of Virginia, as well as, a devoted son and daughter-in-law who provided her with compassionate care in her final days.
A service for her will be held on September 6th at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
