Fred J. Bloom

Frederick Bloom, or as those from New York that knew him as Freddie, was born in Brooklyn, New York, July 21st 1939. The son of Sadie (Miller) and Joseph Bloom, Freddie was the youngest brother of Margaret, Florence, Joan, and Joe where they all grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. When he was young, he spent his days getting into all types of mischief with his friends and Brother Joe. As the years went on, and Freddie grew into his teens and early twenties, his knack for getting into mischief seemed to gain momentum. Along with his friends, Izzy, Clarky, Bobby Davis, and a number of other well-adjusted young men, he created a lifetime of stories to tell anyone who would listen.
Throughout the years, Fred found love, had his daughter Theresa, and was lucky enough to find love again and have daughters Denise and Tracy. It wasn't until he was smitten by a young, beautiful lady where he worked, that he finally settled down with his soul mate, Rosemarie. They began their journey together in a tiny apartment in Greenpoint, had their son Fred Jr., and moved to Vermont.
Fred worked for a property management company at Sugarbush and soon found himself with another son, Eric. While working and living there, Fred did what he does best and developed forever friendships with so many people; Ron, Pam, a couple of guys from Jersey - Dennis and Jim, and so many others. Time passed, Fred, Rosemarie, Fred Jr., and Eric settled in the family's home in Waterbury Center, where once again he helped create lasting friendships. Neighborhood gatherings were Fred's shining moments, especially when you put him with Nancy and Bev. Jokes were told, not for the faint of heart, and great memories were made. Years continued to pass and the family grew.
Fred, aka Papa Bloom, is the proud Grandfather of Haylie, Kelsey, Jordan, Alyssa, Makayla, Rachel, Sophia, Olivia, and Kamryn, as well as the Father-In-Law of two beautiful, loving Daughters-In-Law, Bernadette and Melanie, whom all loved listening to him tell his stories.
Fred was never one for a loss of words or stories and was always the life of the party. This ability he had to make people laugh, and a lot of times hold your breath wondering what was going to be said next, was what made him who he was. This was his charm, his charisma, and what made people love him.
