Fred Ginther Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on May 10, 2023.
Fred W Ginther, age 84, passed away in Rolla, Mo on Friday May 5, 2023. He was born on January 7, 1939, in Berwyn, Illinois, to Sylvia Kalina-Ginther and Fred W Ginther.
Fred lived and worked in Illinois with the US Postal Service and became a Civil Service Retiree in the late 1990's after many years as one of the last, walking delivery postal workers. He welcomed every postal patron along his route with a smile and spread happiness wherever he went. When he retired, he and Lucia, his wife moved to Rolla, fell in love with the area and settled their homestead.
Fred was an example of a man driven by his purpose and faith in God. He was generous and giving to help anyone in need throughout his lifetime. He was a deeply spiritual man who practiced kindness to all he met. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was loved and admired by many.
Fred will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to give everyone a nickname that perfectly captured the person. He will leave memories as a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia Kalina-Ginther & Fred W Ginther; wife, Lucia Arcinoulo, & nephew, Richard Jenkins. He is survived by Louise Jenkins, Portland, OR, sister, Jared Jenkins, San Antonio, TX, nephew, Josephine Arcinoulo, Sister-in-law, LaGrange, IL, and multiple grandnieces & nephews throughout the USA.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to their favorite charity in Fred's honor. Remembrance service will be announced later.
