Fred B. Orris III, aged 82, of Carlisle, passed away on January 18th, 2026, at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Carlisle, PA, on January 21st, 1943, Fred is the son of the late Fred Orris Jr. and Anna (Sheaffer) Orris.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Susan Bathavic (Jason Lyons.)
Fred is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Nancy M. Orris (Myers), and his parents.
Fred was born and raised in Carlisle. He graduated from Carlisle High School in the class of 1960. He then went on to work at Masland Carpets, The Lumber Yard, and as an auditor at several different hotels. He had a great interest in Colonial and civil war time history. He enjoyed visiting historical sites, such as Gettysburg, with his family.
Fred will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Hoffman Funeral & Cremation, 2020 W Trindle Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Waggoners United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1271 Longs Gap Rd, Carlisle, PA 17013.
