Fred Eugene Parker

Fred Eugene Parker, 87, of Fairmont passed away on Monday, May 08, 2023, at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born in Fairview on December 05, 1935, a son of the late Thomas and Grace Brown Parker.
He served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Parker Construction. He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. He also worked for the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Plantation, Florida.
He is survived by his son David Parker and his wife Kathleen of Irmo, South Carolina and his daughter Debra Dottellis and her husband Douglas of McDonough, Georgia, two grandchildren Daniel Dottellis and Rebecca Dottellis, and three great grandchildren Brittney Henry, Shyanne Dottellis and Daniel Dottellis, Jr., one great great grandchild Grace Isabella Dottellis, his wife of 20 years Loretta Jean Strickler and his faithful dog Shiloh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Carole Lea Hall Parker.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Steele and Pastor Claude Kinty officiating. Burial will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery where full military rites will be performed by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard assisted by the United States Army.
