Fred Ray Pilkilton Jr., born January 16, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to Fred Pilkilton Sr. and Cathy Perry Pilkilton, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, with loved ones.

A proud graduate of Denison High School, Fred went on to earn his degree from Austin College. His work ethic and passion for automobiles began early at the family business, Fred Pilkilton Motors. Founded by his grandfather, the business became a legacy Fred proudly carried forward throughout his life.

On July 17, 2010, Fred married the love of his life, Rossi Kerby, at Prestonwood Baptist Church. Together, they built a life centered on faith, friendship, and community. Fred was a member of First Baptist Church in Denison and also remained active at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, where he greeted guests warmly at the door and led Bible study classes. His faith was not only evident in his words, but also in the kindness and generosity he extended to everyone he met.

Fred had a deep love for cars, especially muscle cars, and took great pride in his 1968 Dodge Charger. He enjoyed attending car shows and sharing that passion with others. Summers were often spent on the lake with friends, boating and making memories. In the colder months, he enjoyed attending model train shows.

A true pillar of the community, Fred was known for his welcoming nature and the many meaningful connections he fostered throughout his life. He was a loyal friend, a loving husband, and someone who always had time to listen and share a laugh.

Fred is survived by his wife, Rossi Pilkilton of Denison, Texas; step-daughter, Marissa Giasson and husband Marshall of Denison, Texas; grandson, Weston Giasson; mother, Cathy Pilkilton of Denison, Texas; brother, Roger Pilkilton of Denison, Texas; cousin, Mark Pilkilton and wife Ruth Ann, and their daughter, Emily Mason and husband Charles, all of Sherman, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Pilkilton Sr., and his brother, Paul Pilkilton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church in Denison.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at First Baptist Church Denison, 601 W Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020. The service will conclude at the church; no graveside service will be held.
