Fred W Scott

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred W. Scott, who departed this life on September 21, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 27, 1946, in Springfield, Illinois, Fred was the beloved son of James and Sara Scott.

A proud veteran, Fred served our country with courage and dedication, embodying the values of integrity and commitment. After completing his education at Feitshans High School, he built a successful career in ELA Security, where he was respected for his professionalism and work ethic.

On May 26, 2005, Fred married his soulmate, Leena Corneal. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Fred was a devoted husband, a loving father to his children-Sean Corneal, Da'Ronn Commer, De'Terrion Corneal, and Quinisha Commer-and a cherished grandfather. His wisdom, kindness, and strength profoundly impacted all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Fred had a passion for creating beautiful jewelry, working on and painting cars, and sharing those hobbies with his family. His love for family was unwavering, and he found joy in every moment spent with them. He leaves behind his wife, Leena; children Sean, Da'Ronn, De'Terrion, and Quinisha; siblings James (Rita) Scott, Anna Johnson, Sheila Scott, and Bernadette Landis; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Pablo Scott. Though he has completed his journey on earth, his legacy will continue to inspire us to live with the same integrity, compassion, and love that he so effortlessly shared. We honor the life of Fred W. Scott and will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
