Fred Shoap Obituary
Fred was employed as a finish carpenter for several construction companies. After his retirement, he worked in maintenance for King Street Church and later at Pond Bank Community Church. Fred was a member of Pond Bank Community Church and the Seven Mountains Bluegrass Association. He enjoyed playing the guitar, camping and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Susan Trimmer Shoap, whom he married on August 26, 1991; daughter, Heidi Farrar (Calvin) of Waynesboro; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and four siblings, Linda Rhone (Greg) of Shippensburg, Harper Shoap (Janine) of Chambersburg, Mark Shoap (Pam) of Chambersburg, and John Shoap of Chambersburg.
A memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Pond Bank Community Church, 6555 Duffield Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Jeremy Lehman will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Operation Christmas Child at samaritanspurse.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
