Mr. Fred Tanner, 69, of Soperton passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at The Oaks in Vidalia following an extended illness.
Fred was born February 1, 1954, in Augusta to the late Albert Tanner and Ruby Shuman Tanner. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven Tanner. Fred enjoyed fishing, driving trucks, and riding ATVs. He loved to go to the river. Fred was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Soperton.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ruby Dell Tanner of Soperton; daughters, Stephanie Jones of Soperton, Regina Ward (Terry) of Dublin; brothers, James Tanner (Clyde), Clayton Tanner, both of Soperton; sisters, Betty Harrington (Jesse), Ruby Ann McConnell (Dennis), both of Soperton; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held 2:30 P.M. January 14, 2024, at Trinity Assembly of God in Soperton with Mr. Clayton Tanner officiating.
