Freda Eileen Johnson Holt, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 3, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on March 22, 1948 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Elvis Rector Johnson and Dexter Mae Doggett Johnson, and was the wife of 51 years to George David Holt of the home.
Freda retired from Medtox Technologies after several years of service and was a former employee with LabCorp. She was a member of Friendship Church; she enjoyed shopping, knitting, was a great seamstress and an excellent cook. Freda loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors other than her husband, David Holt include her son, Jeremy Holt and wife Brandie; a daughter, Melissa Holt; a canine grand dog, Marcy; her brothers, Doug Johnson and wife Sandy, and Jerry Johnson and wife Shelley; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Friendship Church by Rev. Mike Kelly with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 10:45 am Saturday prior to the service and other times at the residence.
