Freda Kay Joseph

Freda Kay Joseph, 69, of Stanton, widow of James Lee Joseph, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her home. She was born February 13, 1956 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Lauza and Bessie Stacy Smith. Freda was a member of the Bowen Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God. Survivors include, brother, Roscoe (Jeanne) Smith, Burlington, IN; sisters, Omeda Smith and Wanda Fae (Pat) Johnson, both of Stanton; sisters-in-law, Clara Smith and Kathy Smith; very dear friend, Connie Cecil; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Dr. J.B. Smith and Darrell Smith; brother in law, Ollie Spencer; sister, Glenda Spencer; niece, Angela Spencer; father and mother-in-law, Milton and Edith Joseph. Services Tuesday, September 23, 12:00PM Bowen Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God, 39 Little North Fork Road, Stanton, KY 40380. Visitation Monday 6-9pm at the funeral home and Tuesday 11AM-12PM at the church. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery with Mark Smith, Brandon Smith, Josh Martin, John Barker, Ben Ritchie, Roscoe Smith, and Lester Carty serving as pallbearers.
