Martha Faulkner, 96, of Stanton, widow of Gilbert Faulkner, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 17, 1929 in Stanton to the late George Washington and Margie Marie Cheek Drake. Martha was fondly known as the Mum Lady, she enjoyed sharing her mums with the community for over 34 years. She was a member of the Bowen Church of God. Martha was the very definition of living life to the fullest, with a spark in her eye and a fiesty spirit she enbraced every single day as a new adventure. Survivors include, daughters, Thelma (Mike) Skidmore of Stanton, Vickie Faulkner of Jeffersonville; son, Daryl (Shari) Faulkner of Stanton; sisters-in-law, Jesse Drake and Rachel Drake; grandchildren, Mike (Jamie)Skidmore, Alyssa (Keith) Boley, Justin (Kayla) Faulkner, Jeremy (Natalie) Faulkner, Danielle (Scott) Jolman, Brittany (Christian) King, and Josh (Andrea) Matthews; and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 73 years, Gilbert Faulkner; brothers, Edgar Drake, John Henry Drake, George Lee Drake, Charles M Drake, Melvin Drake and Cecil Drake; and sister, Dorothy Drake DiGioia. Services Saturday, September 20, 4:00PM Wells Funeral Home, Stanton. Visitation Saturday 2-4pm at the funeral home. Burial in Drake Cemetery with Mason Boley, Garrett Boley, Aiden Faulkner, Riley Faulkner, Canaan Reed, Emerson Jolman, and Ethan Wilson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving, Cathy Barker, Debbie Ledford, Phyllis Hobbs, Cynthia Shields, and Rose Hall. In lieu of flowers contributions suggested to Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.
