Freda Lashley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Black-Epperson Funeral Home - Senecaville on Jan. 16, 2026.
Freda Mae Lashley, 82, of Pleasant City, passed away Wednesday (January 14, 2026).
She was born September 13, 1943 to the late Iva and Elmer Wickem.
Freda devoted her life caring for her family and others. She was known for her kindness, sweet soul, and caring nature. Her greatest joy was making you something to eat and sitting down for a talk. She enjoyed anything outside, her garden, flowers, berry picking, and above all else, her grandchildren.
Though her time here is through, she will alas be reunited with the love of her life, her honey, Lester "Dale" Lashley, whom she married November 16th 1963, after 8 long years apart. Also preceding her in death are her siblings, Lillian, Chuck, Peggy, and John; her mother-in-law, Emma Lashley; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-laws, and other family.
Left behind in her legacy of love are her children, Tina Lashley, Lester (Janelle) Lashley, Stacey (Dan) Shanks, Timmy Lashley (Tara), and Jason (Jamie) Lashley; her grandchildren, Adrian, Jesalyn, Megan, Mariah, Erica, Zach, Mikayla, Cody, Kyndall, Aaliyah, Landon, and Shane; her great-grandchildren, Jayce, Kayden, Peyton, and Emerson; her sisters, Becky Warehime and Sandy Swetz; her brother, Terry Wickem; her kitty, Jasper; and her favorite grandchild (grand-dog), Lola.
In honor of Freda, please plant a flower, bake a cake, and cherish the time you have with your loved ones.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (January 20, 2026) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating.
Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery.
